We're happy to announce that Peter Andersson, designer of Corso Easy Chair and Taburett Plus Chair, has been awarded the prestigious Bruno Mathsson Prize 2026.
The Bruno Mathsson Award is the biggest design award in the Nordics, and the motivation reads: “…with the user at the center and playful, thought-provoking concepts, designs furniture and products that enrich our everyday actions with moments of insight.”The award ceremony will take place at the Vandalorum Museum of Art and Design in Värnamo, in connection with the opening of an exhibition featuring Peter’s work. We would like to extend our warmest congratulations on behalf of Lammhults!
Peter Andersson works with contextual design on projects stretching from conceptual to strictly functional. He is pragmatic by default, but has a strive to see things from new and different angles, making the ordinary less ordinary.
Besides day-to-day design work, Peter has almost from the start been involved in design education. In 2003, as a young designer himself, he served as Head of Department at Beckmans College of Design. Later, he worked as a senior lecturer in furniture design at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts & Design. Nowadays the focus is on the design studio, but he is still frequently engaged as a visiting lecturer.
