Comet
2/10/2010
Design: Gunilla Allard
"A comet is a celestial body orbiting the sun. About once per decade, a visible bright comet passes in the sky and we can see something unusual and exciting.”
With inspiration from the wonders of our solar system, Lammhults launches Comet, a new chair designed by Gunilla Allard. Comet is simple in its expression and has a clear and distinct form in which the seat and back are a gently shaped into a harmonious whole.
Comet has a molded shell with a slim silhouette. The chair is fully upholstered, with stitched end seams creating a stylistic detail. Comfort, simplicity, and modernity were the key aspects of the design and development process. The soft rounded shape of the chair’s shell gives the user a feeling of embrace.
Comet is a chair with many options, available with high or low back, with or without armrests. The armrests are a thin, flat loop of steel around the back. Typical of Gunilla Allard’s designs, the armrests have an exquisite leather detail to rest your arm on.
Comet is available with two base options: a four-leg swivel base with glides, and a five-star swivel base with casters. Both bases combine tubing of different diameter, with thicker tubing at floor level for the subtle suggestion of strength. Both frames are made of either powder coated or chromium plated steel tubing.
Comet provides great comfort, suitable for long or short meetings and conferences. The many different variations make it a great choice for hotels, offices and lounge areas.

Campus Air armchair

Design: Peter Hiort-Lorenzen & Johannes Foersom
Lammhults introduced the Campus chair in 1992 and it has been successful ever since, both as a design object and as functional furniture for different environments and customers around the world. With the Campus Air Chair, launched in 2008, new values were added to the traditional chair, a classic design with new functionality. Together with Lammhults, the Danish designers Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen created Campus Air with a new back and seat of glass fiber reinforced polyamide, which resulted in a very durable chair that handle most environments and conditions.
Now a Campus Air armchair has been developed using the same strong materials. The Campus Air armchair has the same practical advantages as the traditional Campus, for example, it is stackable, linkable and can easily be moved with the Campus chair trolley. Another function has been added by designing the armrest so that the chair can be hung directly on a table, without using special hanging devices.
The Campus Air armchair is available in the standard colors black, white and grey with a powder coated or chromium plated steel tubing frame. Campus Air has passed the fire test California TB 133 and is 100% recyclable.
The Campus Air armchair is suitable for environments with high use requirements such as schools, institutions, and healthcare.

Mini

Functional Simplicity in Millibar Seating Family
Design: Anya Sebton
The original Millibar development proposal put forward by Anya Sebton in 1998 included a wide range of seating designs, from the first barstools that gave the line its name, to lounge and stack chairs that were introduced in 2007.
Lammhults has expanded the Millibar family in 2008 with a new pair of stools called Mini. Smaller and lighter than the first barstool, Mini serves a mobile population pausing for quick lunch, coffee or meeting. Easy to move and easy to manage, Mini derives its name from its simplicity of expression: a minimalist functional design solution.
Mini barstool takes its inspiration from the molded shell concept developed for the Millibar chairs. A light, one-piece molded needle-punch felt seat with bonded surface fabric is attached to a stylish, thin-diameter steel rod sled base. The angles in the base and in the footrest result in a beautiful pattern between the units placed next to each other.
The molded-in grid pattern on the seat surface maintains the Millibar graphic identity first seen in the Millibar mesh of the first stools. Millibar is now a well-rounded group of seating products, furnishing restaurant, corporate, hotel interiors as well as residential use. Mini is also perfectly suited for use with the Millibar Bar Table, part of the existing Millibar product family.
Mini barstool is available in two heights, for counter or bar, and a range of frame finishes.

Campus Air

A New World of Applications for Campus
Design: Johannes Foersom/Peter Hiort Lorenzen
Since its introduction in 1992, the Campus chair from Lammhults has enjoyed spectacular success, as a design object and as a practical seating solution for interiors and customers around the world.
Lammhults continues the tradition of Scandinavian design leadership with Campus Air, a new version of the Campus chair. Danish designers Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen, together with the Lammhults product development team, have moved Campus forward with a new seat and back of fiberglass-reinforced polyamide plastic. Campus Air is a strong performer in any application – in schools, in corporate and institutional interiors. Now, with its galvanized frame option, Campus Air can even be used outdoors. The durable solid polyamide surface resists scratching and is easy to clean.
Campus Air continues the practical performance advantages found in Lammhults products: it stacks and links and can be easily managed with the Campus trolley. Campus Air is available in black, white and grey. Campus Air passes California TB 133 flammability tests, and is 100% recyclable.

Cooper High Table
2/4/2008
Gunilla Allard Style Reaches New Heights
The Cooper Table series achieved instant success as the sidekick to Gunilla Allard’s exquisite Cooper lounge chair introduced in 2003. The original low tables were particularly pleasing from an aesthetic point of view, as their soft “rounded rectangle” shape recalled the earliest TV screens of the 1960s. They were at once retro and modern.
Gunilla Allard’s designs are typically strong in crossover design potential, offering elegant solutions in both residential and corporate settings. Cooper Tables are no exception, and they are often found hard at work in the office. The Cooper High Table joins this collection. Designed to be used standing up, or with a bar height stool, Cooper High brings people together in a modern mobile way.
Cooper High Tables are available in the standard Cooper Table compact laminate, as well as a new high gloss melamine surface that offers greater resistance to scratching.
Two standard size tops are available. Tops can be linked to adapt to
any setting.

Millibar chair/lounge
2/6/2007
With the product Millibar chair/lounge, Anya Sebton extends her Millibar family, today consisting of a barstool and a bar table in several versions.
This new product is the perfect complement to the environments where we have already met Millibar: receptions, restaurants, cafés, lounges as well as the private home.
Millibar chair/lounge stands for construction and design. I the original version of the Millibar barstool a net offers individual support. The challenge in this new product has been to achieve the perfect shape and a maximum of comfort.
When Millibar now extends the family to include chairs/lounge chairs, it also extends the material to include felt and upholstery in a fixed-form moulded shell suspended from the innovative perimeter steel tubing. The felt is sound-absorbing, suitable for e.g. cafés etc.
An important visual element of the chair is the pattern of grid lines pressed into the face material of the upholstery. The pattern reminds us of the original mesh, and imposes a satisfying order on the free form of the sling shell.
Millibar chair/lounge is light and aesthetic and shows an interesting meeting between construction and shape. Important are also the details, always seen in Lammhults products.
Millibar chair/lounge comes with two different frames, a stackable sled base and a swivelbase. The lounge chair also comes with an armrest.

Sahara easy chair/sofa
2/6/2007
“With Sahara my inspiration was the African lodge life, a scent of steppe, canvas, wild animals, adventures and challenges. A life in the wild nature. ”
The latest product by Gunilla Allard for Lammhults is an easy chair/sofa that brings elegance and luxury to Lammhults collection of seating furniture.
Sahara has a steel frame and cushions in seat and back. The most characteristic expression lies in the shape and the construction of the arms. The combination between metal and wood creates an exquisite meeting. ”It is like a jewel” says designer Gunilla Allard, comparing the way in which the beauty of the wood adorns its metal mount. The gentle S-curve, lower in back and raised in front, is an organic welcome to the eye and to the touch, extending in such a way as to offer a sure grip.
The arms constitute the key to the construction and are used both for the easy chair and the sofas. The steel tubing is mounted on the arms.
The arms are available in walnut and black stained ash.
Sahara is presented as an easy chair, a 2-seat-sofa and a 3-seat-sofa. Bold vertical saddle-stitching, every 30 cm, creates a strong visual expression in the upholstery.
Light and airy, Sahara recalls Scandinavian design with Gunilla Allards distinct touch of the twenty-first century design expression.
Sahara can easily be placed in any environment.

Imprint Stacking Chair
2/6/2007
The ”Imprint family” is now almost complete with its latest addition – a stacking chair. Besides the stacking function, the designers Peter Hiort-Lorenzen and Johannes Foersom have, together with Lammhults, found a technique making it possible to stain the chair. This gives a large variety of choices when it comes to colour and expression of the product.
The first Imprint product was presented on the market in 2005, with a technique completely new for the furniture industry. The chair is made from moulded compressed layers of wood fibre mats, with addition of selected fibres – spruce, coconut or bark.
With this new step, a stackable, stainable chair, further function and design has been brought to the Imprint concept. Also stainable are the tables that come in this same family.
Imprint is a perfect choice for the restaurant, the café, the hotel reception etc.
